"Enhance Student Veterans"
E.T.H.O.S. or Enhancing The Heroes of Our Society is a non-profit organization that combats the negative stigma surrounding Veterans and mental health by promoting the idea "It's okay to not be okay". The best way to combat this is through education and awareness. In doing so, E.T.H.O.S. raises money to create endowed scholarships to assist student Veterans and their dependents in higher education earning a degree that focuses on mental health or in a related field. Thus, enhancing our heroes.

While attending the University of the Incarnate Word, Christopher found himself in various situations to defend and advocate for student Veterans in and out of the classroom. As a non-traditional student it was hard for him to find peace among the negative stigma surrounding Veterans and mental health. "All Veterans have PTSD" he often heard carelessly half whispered around campus. "Most people do not understand mental health and they often reiterate the negative hear say." Christopher often mentored fellow peers using the phrase "It's okay to not be okay". From this, E.T.H.O.S. or Enhancing The Heroes of Our Society was founded.
